If you were working at Maria’s Gelato the day I came in, then hi my name is Victoria and I’m sorry I kept you waiting for an unnatural amount of time because you have wayyy too many gelato flavours to choose from!
Decisions, decisions, decisions. I feel like this is an appropriate topic for the start of the new school year. We’re all going to be faced with many decisions this year and our choices can be altering. Sometimes the choice is almost already made for us. Yes we have options but one of them is a no-brainer. Like I’m always gonna choose the strawberry milkshake! Other times we can be left in a confused state, not knowing which way to go. Like I have to chose between all my favourite ice-cream flavours, or to give you a more serious example, I have to chose what I’m gonna do with my life!
But let me give you one piece of advice: Choose what is right, not what is easy. Sometimes choosing the right thing is easy, but oftentimes it’s not. It’s always been hard to stand up for what you believe in, but who are you if you don’t? Our beliefs make up who we are — they differentiate us. And they affect the way we see life and live it. The world would be a vanilla place if everyone always did the same thing. (By the way, I’m eating banana gelato NOT vanilla!)
